Comedy + Performance
Hello! Welcome to the dark underbelly of my personal website — the comedy page. When I'm not a copywriting cog in the corporate machine (love my job and career, of course), I am performing live comedy to audiences* across Chicago. Keep scrolling to see what I've been up to!

About Traer
Traer is an Iowa-born comedian and improviser who launched his comedy career performing for the fledgling farmers of Iowa State University. In Chicago, he has trained at iO Theater, Annoyance Theatre and Second City. Traer has performed stand-up, improv and sketch comedy across the city's tapestry of comedy institutions,
cash-only bars and now-defunct venues.
Traer performs weekly at the Annoyance in the sketch show Missed Call and in the iO house team Fizz. His past credits include writing and appearing in the Chicago-based sketch comedy pilot, “This Again?”, Annoyance melodrama parody Goodnight, Gladys and LIGHTS, an original comedy show developed with his creative partner Anna Weatherwax. Their follow-up play BULL, a DCOM-style play about two misfits who end up on the legendary '96 Bulls, debuted to six sold-out shows at the Annoyance and received a Chicago Reader recommendation.
